Kettle hat
You stand watch from the tower, keeping your guard post even when all seems quiet. While the hour is late and it is unlikely that the enemy will attack tonight, it is your duty to keep the camp safe. At the first sign of danger, you are to sound the alarm.
Leaning on your spear and adjusting your Kettle Hat, you stifle an exhausted yawn. You are prepared to wait and to watch for hours, but that does not make you miss your bed any less. Some coffee would be much appreciated.
DETAILS
Epic Armoury’s Kettle Hat is a steel helmet inspired by infantry armour used during the Middle Ages. The Kettle Hat’s brim is broad and sloped in order to protect the head and face from weapons, projectiles and the sun. Wear this helmet with a metal coif for additional neck and cheek protection.
Secure the Kettle Hat by tightening the leather strap beneath the chin, keeping the helmet in place. Made of 1 mm thick mild steel and top-grain leather straps and fittings, this armour piece is built to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment with regular leather and metal armour care.
This product can have slight deviations in pattern, colours and shape.

Natural leather products are very durable, but require regular maintenance with leather care products to stay flexible and to increase
Cleaning
It is best to start cleaning leather from the most delicate measures possible. Therefore, use a damp cloth with a little soap. If this is not enough - use a hard brush to remove dirt. Remove the soap with a separate damp cloth to wipe away any soap residue, and then use a dry cloth to wipe away the remaining water from the leather. Let it dry completely before the next maintenance step.
Conditioning
Always keep the leather maintenance after cleaning, because the soap will remove some of its natural oils. Apply mink oil, olive oil or professional lanolin-based fats to clean leather using a clean cloth, gently rubbing a small amount of fat with circular movements. Wait for the fat to soak in the leather, then use a clean cloth to clog the residue. For maintenance, you can also use beeswax by heating it to a liquid state and applying it to the leather. Remember that the leather so preserved will be harder and significantly darken what sometimes is the desired effect.
