Woodland Tunic
Woodland Tunic – Comfort and Style in Viking Fashion
The summer’s calm embraced the landscape. A gentle breeze danced with the screeches of seagulls, and the scent of resin filled the air. As we walked through the narrow forest paths, he carried the basket full of blueberries, wearing his beautifully woven cotton tunic. Its simplicity and elegance made him look like a hero from ancient sagas. This wasn’t just clothing – it was a story.
Inspired by the Viking Age
The Woodland Tunic from Epic Armoury draws heavily from Viking-era designs. Made from high-quality herringbone-patterned cotton, it captures the spirit of historical fashion while offering modern comfort. Its simple cut and distinct details make it both practical and stylish.
Details That Define Character
What makes this tunic stand out? Tapered edges along the split crew neckline give it a unique appearance, while decorative piping at the cuffs adds a touch of craftsmanship. The herringbone pattern on the cuffs is aligned orthogonally to the sleeve design, creating a sophisticated contrast. This tunic speaks of class, tradition, and adventure.

The Woodland Tunic works perfectly as standalone apparel or as a base for more elaborate outfits. Whether you wear it for LARP, historical reenactments, or fantasy festivals, you’ll look authentic and feel comfortable. Pair it with a belt, cloak, or fur vest for a complete and epic look.

Natural leather products are very durable, but require regular maintenance with leather care products to stay flexible and to increase
Cleaning
It is best to start cleaning leather from the most delicate measures possible. Therefore, use a damp cloth with a little soap. If this is not enough - use a hard brush to remove dirt. Remove the soap with a separate damp cloth to wipe away any soap residue, and then use a dry cloth to wipe away the remaining water from the leather. Let it dry completely before the next maintenance step.
Conditioning
Always keep the leather maintenance after cleaning, because the soap will remove some of its natural oils. Apply mink oil, olive oil or professional lanolin-based fats to clean leather using a clean cloth, gently rubbing a small amount of fat with circular movements. Wait for the fat to soak in the leather, then use a clean cloth to clog the residue. For maintenance, you can also use beeswax by heating it to a liquid state and applying it to the leather. Remember that the leather so preserved will be harder and significantly darken what sometimes is the desired effect.
