You hate orcs. They're violent, cruel and evil creatures that have given your family much pain and grief. The next time an orc tribe tries to raid your farm, you've set up a trap for them. You manage to ensnare their scout, which you kill in revenge and as a warning to his friends.

With careful precision you keep the scout's ear and leave it hanging on the edge of your property. Maybe the next orc will think twice before threatening you.

DETAILS

Epic Armoury's Orc Trophy Ear is a gruesome latex accessory designed to look like the gnarled ear of an orcish foe. Made from 100% natural latex and stuffed with cotton to give it mass and texture, this ear adornment can be hung as a talisman from a belt or neck using its leather cord. It is sure to create fear--and hatred--in the hearts of your monstrous enemies.

The Orc Trophy Ear is sculpted and handpainted to appear as if it has been cut off from flesh. Thickened, rough edges along the base look like clots of blood coagulated from the wound. This trophy ear is green-coloured with shaded creases. It can be carefully dry-brushed or customized using Epic Effects Make-Up.

HISTORY

Similar in use to the historical practice of human trophy collecting.
Remains of the deceased were collected to demonstrate dominance or to commemorate.
Earliest references to orcs are found in Old English and Anglo-Saxon sources, such as in Beowulf and in 16th century Italian folktales.

Natural leather products are very durable, but require regular maintenance with leather care products to stay flexible and to increase life-time. Make sure your leather products are kept dry when stored. Let wet leather dry naturally before treating. If frequently wet and dry, increase frequency of maintenance.

Cleaning

It is best to start cleaning leather from the most delicate measures possible. Therefore, use a damp cloth with a little soap. If this is not enough - use a hard brush to remove dirt. Remove the soap with a separate damp cloth to wipe away any soap residue, and then use a dry cloth to wipe away the remaining water from the leather. Let it dry completely before the next maintenance step.

Conditioning

Always keep the leather maintenance after cleaning, because the soap will remove some of its natural oils. Apply mink oil, olive oil or professional lanolin-based fats to clean leather using a clean cloth, gently rubbing a small amount of fat with circular movements. Wait for the fat to soak in the leather, then use a clean cloth to clog the residue. For maintenance, you can also use beeswax by heating it to a liquid state and applying it to the leather. Remember that the leather so preserved will be harder and significantly darken what sometimes is the desired effect.
