Epic Armoury’s Drow shield is a large shield inspired by heater shields used for jousting in the 15th century. While the design is simple, this Drow Shield is evocative of elven curvatures with its organic design and oppressive colour scheme.

Wear this Drow Shield left-handed with the use of three leather arm straps on the back, secured through hard EVA foam for a reliable and solid grip made to last. Feel confident that this latex shield will withstand the continued abuse of a LARP with regular latex maintenance.

History

Curved upper left corner is called a bouche, which was historically done to serve as a rest for a jouster’s lance and to improve the knight’s view.

Remember that most of the damage is done due to the lack of maintenance and bad storage.

Store your latex weapons flat or standing on their pommel - NEVER on the thrust (this will cause damage to the tip of the weapon, that’s not refunded)
Use a barrier made of paper or a towel to guard your weapon in contact with other plastic or rubber surface, so they won’t stick together.
Keep your weapon in a cool, dry area.
Avoid long time exposure to sunlight and don’t transport your weapons on top of your car luggage.
Remember about the maintenance, sprays work best for that.
